The Jacksonville clinic is overseen by Daniel Spurrier, MD, our Medical Director and Chief of Surgery at Integrity Spine and Orthopedics. Dr. Spurrier is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurosurgeon. He brings to Integrity Spine and Orthopedics nearly four decades of experience in neurosurgery and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures for the spine and extremities. In addition to surgery, he utilizes a wide variety of conservative techniques such as physical therapy, medication and injections to relieve pain and restore function..

If you’re traveling to Jacksonville to receive treatment at Integrity Spine and Orthopedics under Dr. Spurrier, there are plenty of fun attractions in the area. For a walk on the wild side, take a tour at The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary, which houses hundreds of rescued exotic cats, including tigers, lions, leopards and cougars. The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is also an amazing, conservation-focused place to see over 2,000 rare and exotic animals and 1,000 plant varieties.

Jacksonville boasts several beautiful places for beaching, hiking, walking and enjoying nature. Visit gorgeous Atlantic Beach and Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, Little Talbot Island State Park and Big Talbot Island State Park, and the Jacksonville Arboretum and Gardens.

For fine arts and theater, we highly recommend the museums in the area — like the Museum of Science and History or The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens — along with a visit to The Florida Theatre. The Florida Theatre is a beautiful, classic performing arts theater built in 1927 that still hosts over 200 performances a year, ranging from ballet and opera to contemporary pop and country.

And if you’re ready to shop and sightsee, there’s plenty to keep you busy. The Riverside/Avondale district is both hip and historical, with unique shops, local dining, antique stores, nightclubs and more. You can also take a stroll along the Jacksonville Riverwalk, lined with beautiful sights and attractions, or catch a river taxi down the St. Johns River and stop at the popular Riverside Arts Market.
